He was a partner in Studio di architettu ra Nizzoli Associati and Global Tools, a free school for individual creativity. He directed 'Casabella', 'Modo', 'Domus', taking special interest in radical and neo-moder no design. Since 1988 he has directed 'Ollo', a magazine without mes essay. Collaborates with Studio Alchimia and various industries in setting their image and design pro blems. He makes furniture, objects, decorations, clothes, sce nografic, actions and small architectures by himself and with others. His work is also oriented toward painting with large abstract paintings, in a hypothesis called 'Pictorial Design'. He has published the books 'Homely Landscape', 'Farewell Architecture', 'Unhappy Project'. He is a member of the scientific committee of Les Ateliers school in Paris and an honorary member of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Gerusa lemme. He has been awarded the Compasso d'Oro for Design, the honor of the Architectural League of New York and is 'Chevalier des Arts et Lettres' in France. His work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and other museums. In recent times he has designed the Alessi house, the civic tower at Gibellina in Sicily, and a tower in Hiroshima.
