Innovating

On Monday afternoon, Tatjana and I visited Stefan Liske at PCH Innovations in Berlin, and what fun. Their studio is located in and old kindergarten, and from its spaciousness, to banisters of different sizes for adults and children, there is a sweet texture throughout this space. Couple that with a studio full of curious minds and tricky little devices and gadgets, it's no wonder that they are producing such innovative work.

lightest fabric

Tatjana playing with lightest fabric ever! Seriously, it feels like air when you touch it and looks just like black smoke. It's extraordinary.

tubes

tube tipping

I don't remember what these tubes are called but they are basically lava lamps, without the lava. Stefan has a collection of them from the 60's, and they are pretty amazing.

Stefan and a butterfly Derived from that butterfly, the circle Stefan is holding is a swatch of the blackest black.
