The ring in question was made with a decidedly modern cut, despite the fact that it dates back to the 1940s/50s. This taste is given by the fact that it carries some elements of Art Deco, characterized as it is by these very straight and precise lines, but also by some eccentric elements. The jewel almost seems to be composed of two different and overlapping rings, although not perfectly fitted on each other, but rather a bit shifted outward. "Each ring" consists of a wavy rectangle and a remaining gold band. The rectangles are decorated with a double row of stones, one of sapphires cut carré and for a total of 0.70ct approx., and the other of brilliant cut diamonds, for a total of 0.70ct approx. To close the decoration of the ring we find two cabochon cut sapphires, placed in an extremely unusual way in the center but on the outer edges, at the beginning of the two rectangles. The setting of the ring is entirely in 18K white gold. PERIOD: 40s / 50s CUT IT: 16 MATERIALS: 18K white gold, carat-cut sapphires and two cabochon-cut sapphires, for an estimated total of 0.70ct approx. and brilliant-cut diamonds, for an estimated total of 0.70ct approx. ESTIMATED CHARACTERISTICS OF DIAMONDS: Total carat weight: 0. 70ct Color: H. Purity: IF/VS WEIGHT: 9.3 g CONDITIONS: Very good condition N.B.: One sapphire is chipped, but the defect does not affect the final appearance of the ring, as it is not visible to the naked eye.
