Compendio Gallery was established in Rome in 2012 by Lorenzo Ciompi and Corrado Azzolini, who come to the gallery with over 20 years of experience collecting and dealing in international design. Compendio specializes in Italian design from the 1930s through the 1960s, occasionally extending to pieces from the 1970s. Its collection includes work by designers and architects such as Lucio Fontana, Max Ingrand, Gio Ponti, Maurizio Tempestini, and Paolo Buffa, among others. Clients include private collectors, architects, designers, and other galleries. While the gallery does not host exhibitions in its own space, it has organized shows at spaces such as the Design Museum in London and the Triennale di Milano.
